Unbinding Your Heart E-vent - February 19 – April 1, 2012
Dear Friends,
“Prayer is more about receiving from God than it is about asking God for things or working hard at intercession. Prayer involves effort, habit, and focus; but it results in lightness and energy and excitement.” Unbinding Your Heart, p36.
My prayer for you is that your own prayer life might connect your heart and mind to God in ways that result in lightness, energy, and excitement. If Christ does nothing else through our Unbinding Your Heart E-vent, may He rekindle our relationship with Him through prayer.
Before your first small group meeting, please read the Introduction and First Chapter of Unbinding Your Heart. Groups begin meeting the week of February 19th, so the time to begin reading is now. Please wait to begin your daily prayer journal until the day after your first group meeting.
I was expecting and praying that God would do something big through our E-vent, but I am overwhelmed by your response. We already have more than 230 adults, youth, and children signed up to participate. If you’ve not signed up for a group or gotten your book yet, there is still time. Contact me or Linda Metzger today.
See you Sunday!
Matt
